Drop Spindle Basics, Fiber Art Private Workshop

Date:  Saturday, July 26th.  Time:  4:30-7:30 pm.   Location:  Alyssum Patch Contemporary Quilt Shop.  213 E. Grand River Ave.  Howell, MI. 48843.

This class will teach the basics of turning wool into yarn using a drop spindle.  Students will create several yards of plied yarn, and will leave with their own wooden spindle to keep.  Brand new beginners and those with some experience are all welcome.  Already have a spindle?  Feel free to bring your own. 

Supplies are included with registration.  

Instructor:  Krista Smith

Krista learned to sew when she was 8 years old; her grandmother bought her a sewing kit, and she was instantly hooked!  Her love for creative arts has grown to include weaving, spinning, and dyeing fibers, and she loves sharing her passion for the arts with others.  She has a background in youth programming and has been teaching a variety of fiber arts classes for the past few years.
