How it works
Request service: Bring your quilt top, backing, and batting (if providing your own) to the shop during regular business hours. During intake, we will measure your quilt, assist with selecting a quilting design and thread color, and note any additional services requested.
If your preferred design or thread color is not currently available, we are happy to add to our library whenever possible. You will receive an estimated cost and completion timeframe.
Preparing your materials:
- Press all seams flat on quilt top and quilt back
- Ensure all seams are secure and well-stitched, with no loose or open seams
- Trim loose threads
- Quilt top and backing should be squared
- Provide backing and batting (or purchase ours) that is 4-6 inches larger than the quilt top on all sides
- Ensure the backing fabric has a clean, straight cut on the lengthwise edges and that selvedges have been removed
- Pin a post-it note marking the top of the quilt and backing
Order Completion: We will contact your quilt is complete. Your finished quilt can be picked up from our store during regular business hours. Payment is due at pick-up. We accept cash, most major credit cards, Apple Pay, Venmo and PayPal. We do not accept personal checks.
Due to limited space, we ask that finished quilts be picked up within 30 days of completion. Quilts left in our care 60 days after completion will be considered abandoned.
How long will it take?
Our goal is to return your quilt as quickly as possible while providing high-quality results. Please plan for a 2–4 week turnaround, depending on quilt size, design complexity, and current workload.
Important Note About Quilt Preparation
Longarm quilting secures the layers of a quilt but does not correct issues in the quilt top or backing. Seams that are not secure, fullness, wavy borders, or improperly prepared backing may result in puckers, pleats, or distortion after quilting.
By submitting a quilt for service, you acknowledge that quilting is performed at the owner’s risk and that additional preparation fees may apply if backing or quilt top adjustments are required.
