Sewing Workshop: Extra Large Farmers Market Bag. Cost: $60 w/kit. $30 w/o kit.

Let's get ready for Howell's Sunday Farmers Market season with a fun, beginner friendly workshop making your own Extra Large Farmers Market Bag to fit all of your amazing market finds. Works great as a beach/pool bag as well. Choose one of our kit options, or provide your own materials.

3.75 yds of 1.5 inch Cotton Webbing for Straps

Please bring your own coordinating thread, and a sewing machine. We do have a limited number of machines on site that may be rented for this workshop.

Patchwork & Quilting Class: North Star Table Runner. Cost: $50. Instructor: Deb Brown.

We are offering 2 session options for this workshop. Session A meets Monday mornings. Session B meets Tuesday evenings. Participants are welcome to register for either session that best fits their schedule.

Session A: Mondays, May 5, 12, and 19. 10 am -11:30 pm. Location: Alyssum Patch Contemporary Quilt Shop. 213 E. Grand River Ave. Howell, MI. 48843.

Session B: Tuesdays, May 6, 13, and 20. 6:00-7:30 pm. Location: Alyssum Patch Contemporary Quilt Shop. 213 E. Grand River Ave. Howell, MI. 48843.

Ages: Adult/Older Youth (12+). Skill Level: Beginner; Participants should have a basic knowledge of sewing. 10 Seats available.

Participants will be making the North Star Table Runner over the course of 3 class meetings. This technique is perfect for beginners due to the use of what is called “floating points” When the top is finished it can be quilting via longarm or the stitch-in-the-ditch method. Pattern is designed by Donna Jordan. Finished table runner measures 13.5” x 59.5”. Supply list will be provided upon registration.

Instructor Bio: Deb Brown has been sewing since 1973. She has worked on clothing construction, home decor, quilting and bag making. Deb has taught sewing classes at JoAnn Farbics for several years. Additionally, she has taught basic quilting at a local quilt shop, and occasionally holds sewing classes in her sewing studio in Howell.

Craft Together Workshop; Rainbow Wall Hanging. Cost $45/pair with 1 Rainbow Kit. $70/pair with 2 Rainbow Kits.

We're celebrating Mother's Day with our first "Craft Together" event. Craft Together Workshops are made for an adult caregiver and child to spend time together to make something special. In this workshop we will be making macrame cord wrapped Rainbow Wall Hangings. Options include making one rainbow together, or each pair making their own. Come enjoy a fun crafting experience that brings the joy of fiber art and vibrant colors together for both adults and children

Kits are made by A Branch and Cord, and are designed for ages 10+, or ages 4-9 with support. Seats available for 6 pairs of crafters.
