Join us this fall for the Hand Stitched Homeschool Series—a creative, beginner-friendly program designed for youth ages 10+ to learn embroidery and hand-sewing techniques while making fun, meaningful projects. Each session meets for three weeks, guiding students step by step as they build skills, confidence, and creativity.  Register for individual sessions, or save by enrolling in all 3 sessions

Session 1: Kiriki Embroidery Bats
Tuesdays:  September 30, October 7, October 14, 11 am - 1 pm.
Learn embroidery basics while stitching an adorable Kiriki Press bat doll—a modern sampler project that’s as fun as it is skill-building.

Session 2: Thankfulness Cross Stitch
Tuesdays:  October 28, November 4, November 11.  11 am - 1 pm.
Discover the art of cross stitch with a seasonal “thankfulness” design—perfect for displaying or gifting.

Session 3: Felt Stitched Ornaments
Tuesdays:  December 2, December 9, December 16.  11 am - 1 pm.
Celebrate the season by hand-stitching a collection of festive felt ornaments to enjoy or share.

Ages: Youth 10+  Experience Level:  This is a Beginner-friendly class.  Seats available: 6.

Supplies are included with registration.  Classes are held at Alyssum Patch Storefront located at 213 E. Grand River Ave., Howell, MI. 48843.

Instructor:  Krista Smith

Krista learned to sew when she was 8 years old; her grandmother bought her a sewing kit, and she was instantly hooked!  Her love for creative arts has grown to include weaving, spinning, and dyeing fibers, and she loves sharing her passion for the arts with others.  She has a background in youth programming and has been teaching a variety of fiber arts classes for the past few years.
